If your pet needs urgent attention when Timberlake is closed, please refer to the list of urgent care and emergency hospitals below.
What is Urgent Care?
Urgent Care is not equipped to perform surgery or hospitalize patients. They offer non-emergency care for minor illnesses/injuries that need to be seen quickly when Timberlake Vet has no timely appointments available or is closed. Call ahead to check availability/hours of operation., FIRST!
Conditions that can be treated at Urgent Care:
- Allergic reactions
- Bite wounds
- Constipation
- Consuming a foreign body (toy, rawhide, etc.) • Coughing
- Cuts, Wounds, and abrasions.
- Dehydration
- Diarrhea or Vomiting
- Ear infections
- Eye issues (discharge, redness, squinting, tears)
- Fever
- Itchy skin, rashes, hives, swelling
- Loss of appetite or overeating
- Pain or limping
- Runny nose or sneezing
- Toxin Ingestion
- Urinating blood or any urinary changes
- Worms, fleas, ticks, or mites

What is Emergency Care?
Emergency care is for pets experiencing life-threatening emergencies. Seek care at an emergency vet hospital if your pet is exhibiting any of the following:
Conditions that can be treated at Emergency Hospitals:
- Cardiac arrest
- Choking
- Collapse or loss of consciousness
- Distressed mother in labor or the inability to deliver kittens or puppies
- Excessive bleeding
- Fractures
- Heatstroke
- Paralysis
- Penetrating wounds
- Seizures
- Severe or persistent diarrhea or vomiting
- Stopped breathing
- Trauma or accident, such as falling or being hit by an object or car
